Are you after that perfect addition to your backyard? A private oasis all to yourself? Well, owning a concrete pool can provide you with just that. When it comes to pools only trust Byron Bay Pools, your local concrete pool builders. Today we are going to outline just a few reasons why you should opt towards building a concrete pool.

Concrete swimming pools offer a great deal of flexibility when it comes to the design and shape of your pool. Unlike fibreglass pools which are mass produced in a factory, concrete pools enable you to choose exactly how you want your pool to look and adapt within your backyard space. From seating and step placement, to curves and edges, the flexibility is limitless to all pool designs including:

Customise your concrete pool to incorporate a space to relax with massage jets similar to those found in a spa! With a concrete pool you can strategically design the exact placement of jets in your pools walls, steps, or benches. You can also strategically place your swim jets. These are commonly used in smaller lap pools as a means to exercise against a current of water.

Unlike fibreglass pools, owning a concrete pool will enable you to choose exactly how many swimming pool lights you want. You can also choose where you would like to place your swimming pool lights. You can place smaller lights in your spa if you have a pool and spa combo, perhaps? Or have a few set along with a few strategically placed larger lights within your main swimming pool.

During the actual concreting stage this is where the pool starts to visually come to life. Our team of Byron Bay pool builders commit to protecting your assets and as such we use plastic sheets and barriers to prevent any concrete splash back during the pour. On completion we remove our coverings and clean up any loose bits of concrete on site.

After we excavate the ground, but before we even begin to poor the concrete we use at least 12mm steel as the basis for the frame and reinforcement. This steel when combined with concrete provides an extremely durable shell to withstand the heavy water weight.

The concrete we use is of 32 MPa class concrete for new swimming pools. The 32 MPa class of concrete is more commonly used for commercial and industrial concrete structures. However, here at Byron Bay Pools & Landscapes we are committed to ensuring your pool can not only withstand the greater loads that comes with the volume of water, but also outlasts the years to come. After all it is a big investment decision in building a pool and we understand that longevity is important to our customers.

Here at Byron Bay Pools and Landscapes our team are dedicated to providing exceptional concrete pools to those in Byron Bay and the wider Northern Rivers regions. During construction we keep each site clean and tidy to ensure you yard doesn’t look like a hazards ‘dump’ site. After-all, most of our customers are families, so we want to ensure that should one of your children or pet enter the backyard they are safe outside the temporary fencing we use.
